Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.

How you worship and what you believe determines if you are following a false Messiah. The life and teachings of Israel's true Messiah was called, the Way, by the early church. If you follow the Way of the true Messiah what you believe and how you worship will be in accordance with the Torah and the Prophets.

Acts 24:14 I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a cult. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Torah and that is written in the Prophets.

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Paul warns us how easily Satan can fool us into receiving a false messiah, and completely different gospel and a different Spirit.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.
